Rino Liborio Galante Starts working at Carman, the inventor of Self Loading Concrete mixer

1976
1976

Rino Liborio Galante establish Metalgalante as commercial office of Metalmeccanica Oviedo

1978
1978

Production of the Carmix models begins with acquisition of Carman trademark, patents and inventory

1980
1980

The Carmix model is introduced with a 270° slewing drum. First in the world!

1986

New production facility in Noventa di Piave 

1988
1988

Spain becomes Carmix’s main market with 72 machines sold in one year

1991
1991

Spain surpasses the milestone of 1,000 Carmix machines

1993
1993

Raul Gardini’s investment fund acquires a stake in Metalgalante

1995
1995

Metalgalante becomes a joint-stock company (SpA)

1997
1997

Carmix Hesperia S.A. is established to directly serve the Spanish market

The Galante family reacquires full ownership of Metalgalante, with ISA leaving the shareholder structure

2002
2002

The first Carmix with an electronic load-cell weighing system is delivered in Mexico, a technology that remains state-of-the-art to this day

Metalgalante marks its 30th anniversary with the inauguration of a new production facility

Metalgalante achieves an AAA financial rating.
Carmix secures a contract with the Egyptian Army for the supply of 82 machines

Carmix becomes part of Caterpillar’s Allied Members network

Apollo Carmix is founded as a joint venture with Apollo Infratech to manufacture the Carmix range in India

Excellence Award at the Milan Stock Exchange

Metalgalante celebrates its 40th anniversary and unveils the new Carmix 3500TC model

The MyCarmix app is introduced, enabling smartphone control of the main Carmix functions

Golden Jobsite Challenge

To celebrate 50 years of innovation, Carmix presents the Golden Challenge: a competition involving Carmix partners in a collective story driven by creativity, pride, and team spirit. Partners from all over the world, you are invited to participate by submitting dedicated content embody Carmix’ values and heritage, for a chance to win exclusive prizes while awaiting the final event in October.

How it works

1. Partner take part in the challenges throughout the year.
2. The best entries are selected by a technical jury.
3. The 3 finalists compete in an official online vote.

The Golden Jobsite Challenge:

Deadline: September 6th, 2026

Each partner is required to submit:

  • 1 image or 1 video (maximum 45 seconds) featuring your Carmix on a jobsite.
    All entries will be evaluated by the jury, and the best ones will be selected.
  • A description (maximum 500 characters) including the Carmix model, year and information about the jobsite or project.

All materials must be submitted by September 6, 2026, via the online form or by email to contest@fiftygoldenyears.com

  • Submission deadline: September 6, 2026
  • Finalists announcement: September 8, 2026
  • Survey on Instagram: September 9, 2026
  • Winner announcement: September 10, 2026

A trip to Venice for the Fifty Golden Years event.

This initiative is exclusively reserved for official Carmix dealers and is intended as an incentive and internal engagement activity within the sales network. Therefore, it does not constitute a prize competition or promotional operation pursuant to Italian Presidential Decree DPR 430/2001.

    Digital Golden Challenge

    The Digital Golden Challenge invited Carmix dealers worldwide to take part in a creative competition celebrating the brand’s 50th anniversary. Its first stage, “The Oldest Carmix,” asked partners to share footage of their longest-serving machine, with a technical jury selecting the finalists.
